This poem, despite its brevity, chilled me to the bone. I have for many years now seen the Moon as the benevolent Goddess figure. Here she is nowhere in sight, she has left behind only as dead planetoid, and the fear that comes with cosmic loneliness. That's what Pascal said he feared and it led him to devise the complete unconvincing position PASCAL'S WAGER. But talk doesn't change the chill inside of me.
