Today, I will not post or say any lies
As though from you I'm trying to win a prize,
And today I will not start any argument or fight
Even though I might be right.
Today, I will not hate that stranger
Today I'm going to be a game-changer,
Because, today I'm going to be Christian and true
Today, I'm not going to be nothing like you.
Today I'm not going to judge others
Because, of my own beliefs and druthers,
And I will not believe in any gossip or rumors
They are more dangerous than tumors.
I will not hate or curse my fellow man
Just because you say that I can,
I will not write hatred or evils in a letter or a post
Because, I believe in the Holy Ghost.
Today, I will turn the other cheek
Because, I am strong and not weak,
I will do it even though you whisper I should not
I am not going to do what you had sought.
Today, I'm going to be a complete and different person
No swearing, lying, judging or mocking or cursin',
Today, I will not listen to any of the sins that you are creatin'
Today, I will not be listening to you Satan.
