Tomorrow Poem by Terry Donovan

Tomorrow

Rating: 5.0

'I'll do it tomorrow', he said,
As so many times before
But the next day he was called up
And taken off to war.

And so he never did it,
Their tomorrow never came,
She doesn't have him any more,
She only has his name.

She had to ask the man next door,
Who told her with a sigh,
'I'll have a look tomorrow'.
It makes you want to cry.
