Today I Cried Poem by Terry Donovan

Today I Cried

Rating: 4.5

Today I cried,
But no-one knew.
With none to love
And friends so few,
Nobody sees,
Nobody hears.
So often in
My ageing years,
I have to face
So much alone,
Face situations
On my own.
So no-one asked
Or wondered why
And no-one cared
That I should cry.
But cry I did.
I cried real tears.
Those onions were
The strongest
That I've chopped up
For many years.

I know I chopped some up the other day and they were real strong. Lovely poem, thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Love your style. Love Ernestine XXX
