Tonight Poem by Richard D Remler

Tonight

**********************

Tonight the stars forgot to shine,
Shine into this midnight air,
Air as warm as summer wine,
Wine as sweet as it is rare.

Rare as night so fair as this,
This gentle, simple midnight sigh,
Sigh as tender as a kiss
Kiss so sweet she lingers by.

By morning's stir and twilight's touch,
Touch that fires every light,
Light us a fire with warmth and such,
Such as the one we share tonight.
