Tonight I held an angel
And caressed all that is right
Counting every blessing
Through the hours of our night

Tonight I felt an angel
With his guidance from above
Cleansing me in goodness
As he bathed me in his love

Tonight I touched an angel
As he held me in his arms
Unifying love and life
Its wonderment and charms

Tonight I knew an angel
And my angel gave me strength
To know that life so precious
Should be treasured in its length

Tonight I found an angel
And I thanked the stars above
For special is this gift of ours
That's brought us so much love
