Tonight we sleep
Nothing we will reap,
We are just taking a needed rest
After a days hard quest.
We are placed in a better mood
In our own solitude,
After hours asleep on the bed
Where we are relaxed with no worries or dread.
While asleep we are spiritually all alone
We don't fret or moan,
There is no rush or needs or worries or pain
Nothing to bother our brain.
Before, sleep at night we yawn
Then we awake happy and at rest at dawn,
Then promises and chores we keep
After awakening from a good night of sleep.
Sleep gives us relaxation and quietness and peace
Which many times we'd wish it not to cease,
Sleep is the cousin of death
When we yawn our very last breath.
