Too Late To Discern Poem by Wangchat konyak

Too Late To Discern

When I realised
To my soul I must be soft;
Ah, the boat had sailed too far,
And there's no sight of shores.

When I perceived
To myself I must be kind;
Ah, the boat had leaked by then,
And there's no sight of rescue.

When I apprehended
To my heart I must be true;
Ah, I ventured into deep debt,
And there's no sight of recovery.

When I comprehended
To myself I must have loved;
Ah, the boat had half-sunk,
And so am I submerged in despair
