Too Little Room Here Poem by Kelsey Gallant

Too Little Room Here

Ow!
Brother there, you’re in my space
Sister there, you’re in my face
Mama says the eggs give us each our own place
But it’s too crowded and we’re running out of space

Ow! Your shell’s rubbing mine
Such an awful sound
I wish I could push you
Down to the ground

Crack! Yay, we’re hatching!
But you’re still in my way!
Hey wait…you’re birds like me
You wanna go play?
