Too Long Poem by Marilyn Jean

Too Long

Nothing was blue, sad
Or mad
Yet today was so long
Quite wrong
Made of nothing nice
Just cold as ice
All this distance?
Resistance
Hours were dull
Without any lull
There was nobody
From dawn to tea
Soon time to sleep
Letting go my weeps
While all around
Silence bound
There
No cheer
But tears
