To the Honorable Sheriff of Pinellas County,

In this world of shifting winds and uncertain tides, your duty stands resolute.

You are the keeper of life and liberty, the watchman over our shared safety.

Yet, in your strength, I ask you to remember mercy, for true protection comes with compassion, and the safety of your officers is woven with the empathy they extend to others.

We, who live beneath your shelter, seek peace and understanding.

Let your authority be tempered with grace, your actions with gentleness.

For only in this balance can the heart of our community be sustained, where all souls - both those who protect and those who are protected - may walk in light and safety.
