Toppling Down Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Toppling Down

Rating: 5.0

The golden lure of promise
Has run completely dry
Unpaid debts are enormous
Is it any wonder why…

Suddenly shouts proclaim
The economy is in dire trouble
Wall Street greed adds to blame
Banks make empty loans… then grovel

Hurry… fix with a bailout plan
Taxpayers are expected to blindly pay
As the blood of the working man
Drains away because of corrupt decay
