For every undulating wave upon the sea,
there is a reason
Not always one that we can see
but a struggling heart must let it be
Each wave that surges upon your shore
I guess I always wished there would be more
But seeing you happy must be enough
For now my sea feels all so rough
To see my friend passing to another place
with love upon her face, but not for me
I understand as I can
I'm not the one to be your man
It hurts to feel a dream recoil like undertow
and back into the sea of love I go
Where I will end, nobody knows
Like the changing winds that brush past
the fluttering petals of a Rose
