Tough Week Tough Life Poem by Ray Hansell

Into every life some darkness must fall
Sometimes just for a while
Sometimes it seems to last
When it does we lose our smile

It seems harder to get out of bed
The days seem to drag out longer
The nights are times for wishing
That we could be a little stronger

We try to put on a happy face
As we face the world outside
When secretly we are hoping
That we could find a place to hide

Now everyone has setbacks
As we live one day at a time
But to some people it just seems
Easy living days are hard to find

Life to some can be so cruel
All we can do is wonder why
But as we struggle along the way
Eventually, tough times will pass us by
