Towards The Cross Poem by john (called jack) wren

Towards The Cross

Rating: 5.0

One day on Earth all glory died
in Him whose flesh was crucified
deemed to die by hearts so cold
His love for them forever bold
That day when Sun and Moon stood still
the corrupt and arrogant had their fill
while others washed their hands in guilt
towards the Cross all eyes did tilt
for from this bleeding sacrifice, sprang
forth the conquering love of Christ
and as the prophets did foretell
the glory is yours Emmanuel
Angel's in the heavens did ring
celestial bells to Jesus the King
and voices rose in one accord
singing praise and glory to Our Lord
