Towns In Dreams

Towns in dreams seem a little dreamy
Whenever it happens I go there
Something a little off about the landscapes
But familiar, so vague how I arrive there
It's never made clear
All of sudden Im in a favorite bookstore
From decades ago
I've got the whole day free
I cant believe my good fortune
How do you get here no one ever asks
But I would say like someone with a doll's memory
If I were asked, I don't know, someone put me here
I forget
Somehow there's always a deadline
Get on the bus by the time it gets dark
Where's the bus I ask a dream someone
They never say, what bus
What bus where
That's how you know it's a dream.
