Transformed Poem by dave lessard

Transformed

On this day, I afflict my soul
and come to You, my Lord-
so that You, can make it whole.
Forgiving my remaining sin
to forget and blot it out,
to the place where I have been.
The road's been way too long Lord
at times, I've lost my way -
but then You gave me guidance
showed me, the light of day.
Darkness fell when I took Your hand
still blind and sadly ignorant,
I began to understand.
I drank Your milk, like a child,
maturing slowly, I shed my wild.
The road's been way too long my Lord
with many a twist and turn;
until I found that sacred path,
which for my soul, did yearn.
