Transnational Mindful Night Poem by Udaya R. Tennakoon

Transnational Mindful Night

Beyond many skies
Over many seas
In the scrutinized Globe
Hanging on the map as a dot of shadow
Close to north and in cold closed hills
When the sun shines at the other side
My night is with darken light

The short dark night
Runs trampling borders
Forgets the zonal time
To chat with the equator

Mind over there to stay
Online ship clears the way
Between the horizon a violin to play
Many long, caged words to say
Memories and narratives of clay
A hope of a statue to pray

By a given sign to stay in touch
Instead perfect sentences
Reflecting senses to convey

When say good night, you sent a laugh
As the day just begins, you sent me a flower
I send a smile and wanted to say, yet didn't so

"Whether it's a day, in that you are in a night
Through this darken night, to see the light
Might take hundred years"
