Trapped Poem by Jean Dament

Trapped

There are those awful days that seem too long;
When you're feeling so sad with everything going wrong,
Your thoughts & emotions make you quite tense & you feel so trapped;
Where you're hard pressed feeling all alone & totally strapped,
With endless probems that won't cease;
While you're looking to find some new found peace,
Thinking surely there must be a way out of all this grief,
You want nothing more than this...so you pray for some instant relief,
At times life has you so trapped, that you feel dizzy...just going around & around,
Aching with such pain...more lost than found,
So alone & misunderstood with no one who'll listen or care,
Bearing all these burdens yourself & laying them bare,
Such are the haunting times & trials of depression,
But with God's help in time we can learn a valuable lesson;
That we don't have to be forever locked up in our own minds,
But with some solid faith, we can be happy in happier times.
