Trivia Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Trivia

Trivia

This is not a poem
But something that happened
Or the things done, observed.

Taught us word "Trivia"
In amphitheatre;
Of York U, Toronto
(When we took English.)

Our Prof was Peter Paolucci
With headset and objects
Projected on the wide screen.

"Trivia is Latin
For three roads, Via, "
That end up in bazaar
Or somewhere of that kind
(Sort of lost, confused…)

Last night I attended
CBC Trivia
For sake of collecting
Aid for poor and needy;
In Hotel Gladstone, Toronto.

Some happy and jolly gathering
With the songs and the games.
And questions and answers
"Trivia; " not for me…

Though I had registered
Did not see my name there.

Welcome to Canada! ! !

I stayed for a while
Dropped bill in the jar
Had beer and fries.

But found me not to match
So, chose to say: "Goodbye."
