Trop Tard.(Translation) . Poem by Michael Walker

Trop Tard.(Translation) .

Chacun a sa ligne stricte nous allons,
Et quelques-uns trouvent la mort avant l'amour;

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
For the English original, see Poem Hunter/ Matthew Arnold/ Poems/ 58/63.
A succinct, yet warm love poem. Some people die before they find love. (I would say many do) . That can be because they live so far away from their potential soul-mate. It is a more cruel fate when the lovers meet too late, and the woman refuses his proposal.
