Gordon Jerome

True - Poem by Gordon Jerome

I would rather be dead
Than again ever wed
Few agree with me what it takes
I believe in the vows
No if, buts, or how’s
You stick together no matter the stakes
You may not get your way
Each day after day
You must give if you wish to receive
So when I promised my heart
Until death we do part
Till I die, in my vows I believe.
“closing thought”
Never say I do without all of your heart
Or doomed is your marriage right from the start
