True African Poem by Samuel Segun Toluwalase

True African

Rating: 4.0

She was young
Her stature beat that of the evening sun
Her beauty further reborn
And for the birds, she was their song

Her hair just made
The corn rows in line laid
Natural African she is
And her originality a lasting bliss

Cautious, culturally nurtured
Neat, gentle and placid

She is beautiful
Amazingly beautiful
