True Beauty Poem by racheal wiese

True Beauty

the way you look into my eyes, filled with wonder and surprise.
the way she stay's cuddled in your lap,
you expect me to sit there and give you a clap.

you walk beside her, you hold her hand,
you kind of show her off, like I'm your biggest fan.

i sit here all alone with no one by my side,
you don't understand just how much i have tried.

all those days we did the same, its like i was in a stupid game.
it doesnt matter how much i try, if i laugh or if I cry.

I always feel the same,
like i was just stupid and u didn't know my pain.

I don't blame you for loving her,
or turning her darkness into day,
i wish i had seen this part of you before i gave my life away.

reclaiming what i had before i ever new your name,
but thank you cos without you i wouldn't be the same.

not like a painted portrait, not like a broken stained glass pane,
just a little memory that without i wouldn't know my name.

so thanks for helping me become the person who i am,
enjoy your life without me, cos i know you can.

buy her all the prity things that only money can buy,
true beauty is seen with in ones soul not by the human eye.

You ask me to accept this, be happy for you to,
but sometimes life is hard and i don't know what to do.

It's like i am invisible, like i am just a thing of your past.
like i was a dream...one that didn't last.
