True Humanist Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

True Humanist

True humanist

I have not to become idealist
But true humanist
With simple aim]
To serve mankind and claim

I may not have sources
Or means to force
But I shall remain as human
Among the poor and down trodden

I may be starving
But still deserving
Some compassion in deep corner
That shall be brought out sooner

I need not real big religious books
Or become crooks
To show world that what I am!
But from where I come and present them

I shall love my people
And help if they want to struggle
For noble life and good living
If that is needed for surviving
