True Love Poem by brian naugher

True Love

The sun was slowly sinking,
The evening was warm and mild.
Sitting on our garden bench together
Me and my wife by my side.

I had just poured a cold beer,
My wife's wine, in her hand - tightly clasped
Sitting back with her eyes closed,
Perfectly relaxed.

I heard her say 'I love you more than anything on Earth'
'living my life without you, would be a life of little worth'

I reached for her hand and gave a laugh,
As I replied to her remarking,
'That is such a sweet thing to say my love'
'But is it you, or the wine that's talking? '

She sat up straight and turned her head,
Her bright blue eyes met mine.
'Oh! it's me, my love'she softly said
'I was talking to the wine'

Good for a laugh. I have some in the 'humor' category.
