True Loving Poem by Leslie Alexis

True Loving

A melted heart
Leaks out the chest
Falls on the ground
And is laid to rest.

Your love does not melt my heart
As in fairytales
But makes it strong
And set its sails,
To you…

And I’ve not fallen for you,
For this assumes, you were low
And I had to give of up stature
Going to the floor
To get to you… these are lies
You make me rise,
And I look down,
Only to stare, in your eyes…
That don’t hold me captive (captivates me)
In an illusionary world,
But sets me free
To explore your lips,
Which taste like
Strawberry lip-gloss
And woman.
