Trumpets - Poem by Lydia J. McFarland

The trumpets are blaring in heaven
and the angels are singing and dancing
and the saints are here on earth
lifting God's name up in prayer.

Oh the trumpets are blaring in heaven
and the angels are singing and dancing
and the saints are here on earth
bowing down in reverence.

Oh Lord revitalize my soul,
please make my mind anew,
refresh my spirit
and give me a heart of servitude.
As we go out into the world for you
and witness to the lost and those with a willing ear
will return to you in multitudes

Oh what a day that will be
can't way for that glorious celebration!

Where the trumpets are blaring in heaven
and the angels are singing and dancing
and the saints of God are rejoicing
as they lift up your name in praise.

Oh the trumpets are blaring in heaven
and the angels are singing and dancing
and the saints are here on earth
bowing down in reverence.
