Trump walks through time,
an echo of men
who moved stones
into walls of fear.
His words crackle like dry wood,
feeding the fire he denies.
A smile like poison,
a fist in a velvet glove.
Hitler's pride in his clenched fists,
Stalin's coldness in his gaze,
Mao's hunger for power
in every word he breathes.
Truth bends beneath his voice,
a shadow falls across the land.
And in the distance, voices cheer,
not knowing they cheer
for their own fall.
