Lord, you kept my soul from the pit of hell.
Once secure, I thought I would never slip.
When you withdrew your spirit, I fumbled.
But I place my trust in you, the almighty g-d
G-d help!
My eyes, whole body and soul are sore.
Look kindly upon your servant, save out of pity.
Here I admit my fault to you.
Please smooth-over the guilt of my crime forever
and provide me with your lesson for survival.
“I did seek g-d, and he went calming my fears.”
You are my fortress where I can always be safe.
