Truth Hurts Poem by Itai Oscar

Truth Hurts

Rating: 4.5

He spit his words like bullets out of a machine gun
My ears absorbed every word like a dry sponge to water
The words were not words of hate
But the words were words of truth
Ouch! Truth hurts
The words dissect-ed my heart
I couldn't face the words
Their brightness blinded my eyes
All I could do was cast my countenance down
All of us can't face the truth
Because the truth hurts
