Truth Is Still The Same Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Truth Is Still The Same

Some declare truth with their gray intentions
Using it as a tool for financial gains,
Truth is still the same, it is Rock foundation
Whether the speaker is false, or whether he's vain.

Some speak and can promise beyond what is there,
Creating a mirage of what the world will hail.
In dollars and dimes, they trap all those unaware
Yet the wealth Truth brings is Peace that can't fail.

No riches that men want, and so earnestly desire-
But the inner gold of Hope and of abundant Joy.
None the world can offer in all its darkest mire
It exposes all of heart, even the speaker's ploy.

Therefore the road we take is really our choice,
And our quest for Truth can never be extinguished.
For behind the words, the true Speaker is God's voice
And always it will stand, His Truth cannot be tarnished!
