Tumble Dice Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

Tumble Dice

The dice roll, tumbling across the table,
spinning, uncertain, caught between
fate and chance.

Fingers once held them tightly,
warmth pressed into their edges,
but now they are free,
dancing in the air,
answering only to gravity and luck.

Eyes follow their movement,
breath held in quiet anticipation,
as if watching could change the outcome,
as if hope alone could bend the numbers.

Then they land, still and silent.
A decision made,
a future sealed in dots and ivory.
And yet, for a moment,
it felt like anything was possible.
