Turn Up Your Smile - Poem by empty shell

sometimes i smile when no ones around
my heart fills and overflows my body with joy
then there are days where sadness takes hold
overwhelming fear naws at my bones
sometimes i laugh when no one can hear
my arms imagine and mimic a loving embrace
then the empty feeling starts to appear
as the clouds brush over the sun
alone in my car, gripping the wheel
i feel you holding my hand
i open the roof and the clouds blow away
and the sun says turn up the tunes

Wonderful when those simple things in life give us pleasure. Keep smiling and Thank You (Report) Reply
