Turning Inward



Walking away, never looking back, taking steps
farther away than I've ever gone before.
Turning inward, trying to find the peaceful
aura hiding defensively inside.
Trying to protect itself from an abusive person,
no longer able to fit into creative atmospheres
as a friend.
