Turtlely Spaced Out Poem by Ima Ryma

Turtlely Spaced Out

I be a giant turtle with
The whole of Earth upon my back.
Got conjured up in human myth,
Humans have such conjuring knack.
So why a turtle some do ask?
Perseverance, longevity
Make me well chosen for this task,
Carrying the world upon me.
I know that science now disputes
This turtle having such a role,
My tripping out earthly pursuits.
Science has to feel in control.

Going through space and time will tell
If I keep Earth upon my shell.
