Tv
I don't own
One of these idiot boxes
But if I did
I would likely
Sit in front of it
Like some idol
As many do
And be beguiled
By this piece
Of electronic wizardy
That is without doubt
The greatest perpetrator
Of propaganda
And low grade humor
Ever invented
And for all its appeal
Ends up
Warping the minds
And tastes
Of all
Who sit too long
In front of it.
You have drawn attention towards a real threat posed by TV to our social fabric and its delicate balance as well as what you have pointed out. Though, I am also a viewer, I appreciate your concern about TV that 'Ends up / Warping the minds / And tastes / Of all
nothing is as dangerous as 'the box' that numbs the mind and heart.
