Twilight By Chen Ronglai (China)

Twilight

by Chen Ronglai (China)

On the way back late, along with a few coughs
The sunset falls heavily

The old ox is nibbling grass roots
With a deep expression, chewing the dusk

Sparse smoke is curling up into the sky
From the chimneys, lonesome and so high

The afterglow lies on the horizon, burning like
A fire. While the village is sitting in silence
