Twisted Art Poem by Judy Jones

Twisted Art

Rating: 5.0

A refreshing piece of art
He places his new sculpture in a contiguous spot
So that he can view it at any moment
He stares continuously at it
Not quite sure what it is about it that captures him
Or even what it means
Just that there is something about it
That makes his eyes gaze upon it
Perhaps it is just the thought of having it there?

A perplexed, twined work of art sits silently
Dust begins to settle upon the metal rims
It begs for a gentle blow of his warm breath on its cold veneer
It yearns for whispers of compliments
It has observed many it would love to liberate
If it could
But for now
It waits eagerly for his next visit
And his warmth
