Twisting The Truth Poem by Rm. Shanmugam Chettiar

Twisting The Truth

I drew a horse that looked like an ass.
So I declared that I've drawn an ass.

I went to her with desire to woo
On the pretext of seeing my friend there.

I told my kin that I came to see him
Whereas I saw him on my way.

I twist the truth to suit occasions
And gain from there an advantage.

The first two lines were fantastic. The rest was great to, were all inventive with the truth when reality is dull colour it with different hues
