Twitter Poem by Phil Soar

Twitter

Twittering happens across the globe
Millions of twitterers on overload
Twittering until their phones explode
Or brain cells swell and then implode

So much to say in a few short lines
It doesn't mean much and doesn't rhyme
It's just a snap-shot, in a second of time
I'm sorry, but I don't have the time

Social fingers tap away
Throughout the night and all the day
It's like a never ending play
So much to share, so much to say

A reminisce, a warming gesture
An insult or two that starts to fester
The sort of comments that turn to hate
The image sent, now all too late

Confine them to the trolling trash
Extinguish them, and the tag that's hashed
Put down the phone and embrace the day
