Two Can Play That Game Poem by Charlie F. Kane

Two Can Play That Game

You’re not the only dreamer,
As you know I am one too.
We chose the muse to fill the shoes
Of whoever we obsess about.
You once dreamed me as a Jesses James,
Then accused me as a Robert Ford,
But it was you who pulled the trigger.
You somehow think that I let you down,
But you know that it isn’t really like that,
You say that you’re so hurt, then how come
You never speak it? Then again,
I rarely hear you talk at all.
