Two Kinds Of Love Poem by Freeyad Ibrahim

Two Kinds Of Love

By Freeyad Ibrahim

The rich man gives his beloved an expensive gift
To seduce her
She is happy, not because of the rich man
but because of the gift from the rich man
Love of a different kind
Material Love

The poor man offers his beloved a low-priced rose
But it is precious to the beloved
He did not tempt her with an expensive gift
Love does not come from an eye that loves gold
Rather, from a heart that loves the giver of the gift,
not the gift itself
And let the beloved know that the poor is the truest of lovers
Because he has only his heart to offer
Love of a different kind
Spiritual love
