Two Months Poem by Leslie Alexis

Two Months

Two full turns of the moon has gone
And shades of red have deepened
As our heart has fallen more in love,
Graphite-like connections have cured
Given our love the strength of diamonds;

And though I can’t adorn you with diamonds;
As you did to mine your heart, I’ve cured,
And we believe that more than gems is love.
In our time passed love has deepened.
Never would the day come when I’m gone.
