Two Wings Poem by Kevin Patrick

Two Wings

Rating: 5.0

To reach above the earth and soar
and open wide the sapphire door
takes more then one can only dream
but equal minds that share the beam

boundless to the air resists
climbing fog beyond fears abyss
stretch limbs of perfect symmetry
like souls in sweetest synchrony

from day to night as left meets right
a perfect balance soon takes flight
through stable frame where hearts contained
raised pinions where our love is reigned

We'll sail through air on feather's wide
gliding where mornings rays will guide
balancing the weight of sorrow
Unbound by chains of tomorrow

For loves a concord of beating wings
a union shared of equal beings
if one is weak then both shall fall
and the body sings the curtain call

if only you and I could learn to fly
It takes two wings to reach the sky
two wings sharing a body of love
climbing in paradise far above
