Typecasting Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Typecasting

I did not wish to play the villain.
You insisted repeatedly,
That I fit the part.

Now that you have convinced others,
I 'am' the villain...
Who will you now select to play the victim?

Since those who know you,
Have grown tired of seeing a typecasting done...
Too well. And, with you playing that usual role.
