No one is listening to their shouts of anguish
no one is watching their plight of afflictions;
how much will they suffer and how long
no rest they have, no safe shelter they hold
as missiles keep hitting their apartments callously;
any hour of the day they can see a spark of a lightening
as missiles keeping raining down like fire-works;
no hope they foresee for peace
as war keeps continuing and escalating day by day;
so no dreams of cease-fire they cherish in their sleep.

How will their life ever regain its calmness and pace
if on the horizon is an enemy who never cares to rest?
the roads in their cities are strewn with war tanks,
with crushed buildings and apartments;
and with debris around it that keeps mounting weekly,
it makes one think if this is an action film on the streets
as soldiers keep active with guns in their hands
and loading and firing bombs in the air so constantly;
but no this is not an action packed Hollywood movie
neither it is a movie-trailer or a horror film on their screen;
it is real and realities that Ukrainians are confronting today.

A war is ravaging their country for months without pity;
and as mercy has lost its anchor without any limitation,
the ship of agony is vibrating their harmony for months,
it is compelling Ukrainians to live a life which is so pathetic;
they do not know whether they will survive another day
or whether they will have to face a winter without heating;
their country was their home, their home was their country
which was once their own paradise of happiness and peace.

It is therefore time for the world to stand up
and blow its whistle to stop this game of war
as its atrocities are making Ukraine and its people face
the worst of sufferings, the worst of fatalities
and everything that is so negative to their existence;
so, it is so crucial to halt the war now
and give both the countries their chance to live
in their own circumference of serenity and solace.
