Un Objet. (Translation) . Poem by Michael Walker

Un Objet. (Translation) .

Cette chose, qui a un code et non pas un noyau,
A regle la connaissance ou il pourrait etre des affections,
Et maintenant rien
Ne rompt ses reflections.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The poet sees an object, which has a code for its molecules and atoms
to interact, but not a core like a plant to make it change and grow.
At the moment nothing is disturbing the object in its reflections.
Objects do seem at times to be alive, with feelings, to me. There is pathos about a lonely, abandoned object: it wants to be noticed by someone.
