I still remember the way,
I held you close to me.
In every word you sad,
I heard a symphony.

You used to look into my eyes,
And could see through my soul.
Staying close to you forever,
Had become my life’s only goal.

You wiped my tears,
When I poured my heart out to you.
Held my hand and said:
“We will make it through.”

All the things you said,
Thought we would spend an eternity together.
The way the voice came from your heart:
“Don’t want to lose you…never.”

Now you tell me,
All that was a lie.
Force me to sit alone,
Rip my heart and cry.

Why do I still think,
That the roots go deep?
Why does this thought come to me,
Every time I weep?

If you had to give me pain,
Why did you give me happiness?
Why did you show me all the colors,
If you had to leave me in this nothingness?

Why did you teach me how to smile,
If you were going to make me cry?
Why did you teach me not to give up,
Not to give up and just try?

Why did you take my heart?
Why did you steal it away?
Why did you teach it how to beat for someone else,
When you were going to break it and throw it away?

I may never get an answer,
For the questions that I ask.
Living my life happily,
Seems like an impossible task.

I hope you never have to bear,
All the pain you put me through.
I still remember your words:
“I’ll always be there for you.”

Now you tell me,
All that was a lie.
Force me to sit alone,
Rip my heart and cry.
