Have you ever felt
As though you are on the outside looking in?
When life is so frail?
So thin?

How can we go on living
When we know of all the suffering and pain
That great people deal with?
I have been down that lane.

I have wanted to take my life,
And turn it upside down.
To cry my eyes out.
To feel free to frown.

But I can't and I won't cry
You don't deserve the tears
That fall from my eyes
Your voice will never touch my ears.

How can you not feel
It in your heart and soul
When the birds take off
Each with a common goal

People are slow to see
How wonderful life could be
If we all just took a step back
Even me....

If we took a breathe
Instead of getting all upset!
If we just showed a little more compassion
Then our needs would never go unmet.

So I challenge you,
All this week,
To face every trial you meet
With love in your heart.
Peace in your mind.
